That Outlander was FWD with no frills, and turn key ignition. The interior was on par with the Lancer, and I think if there was a turbo Ralliart version it could be a good seller.

Until this year - I have always gotten the Road &Track page a day car calendar (couldn't find one this year for some reason). I always save the pages that I like and one from September of 2009 was for the 2007 Mitsubiski Concept CX. Obviously the precursor to this vehicle. Like most Concepts - the production just doesn't have the same pop that the concept has for me. Here's the quick write-up on the Calendar:

"Billed as a concept, this Honda Fit-sized five door hatchback previewed a production model expected to appear in European markets sometime in 2009. The X stands for crossover, and the jaunty subcompact features a bit of extra ground clearance, all wheel drive, and a 1.8 liter turbo-diesel engine."

Google "Concept CX" for more images than you can shake a stick at. This is the exact picture that was on the calendar. I like how it does not have the window behind the 2nd set of doors. Almost looks like a 4 door Mini
